Alberto Cuadra-Lara

PhD candidate at

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

I was born in Málaga (Spain), where I studied Industrial Engineering, passing through two long-term stays abroad at Politehnica University of Bucharest (Romania) and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (México) for 11 and 5 months, respectively. Feeling that my ability in mathematical modeling didn’t meet my requirements, I enrolled in an MSc in Applied Mathematics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). Currently, I’m fully immersed in my PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Marcos Vera and Prof. César Huete at UC3M. My research focus is twofold: developing an open-source wider-scope thermochemical tool ( Combustion Toolbox, CT) and the theoretical study of shock and detonations that travel along non-uniform conditions.
